In an unfortunate incident that took place in Damcherra district which is located in North Tripura, three individuals fell victim to a wild bear’s sudden and unexpected attack while working in the forest areas on last Wednesday.
Among the injured persons, Amitabha Reang, who had migrated into the forest to collect firewood and other required forest products, was critically injured in this attack and subsequently transferred to GBP Hospital in Agartala for advanced medical care and treatment.
The remaining two members of the group are currently undergone with treatment and medication in North Tripura. The sudden and unexpected attack of bear has raised concerns and questions about the safety of those working in the forest regions.
