Assam Government issues order for local holidays

Localized public holidays announced for Assam citizens by the Government during the scheduled dates of the Lok Sabha Polling.

As per the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881, aligning with the dates the government has issued the orders on April 19, 26, and May 7.

Details about the band dates for Assam :

The first phase of the polling, scheduled on April 19, will encompass five constituencies-Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kaziranga, Lakhimpur, and Sonitpur.

For the second phase which is on April 25, Voting will take place in Nagaon, Darrang-Udalguri, Diphu (ST), Silchar (SC) and Karimganj.

Lastly, on May 7, the 3rd phase of polling will encompass Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Barpeta, Guwahati constituencies.
