Assam receives prestigious Padmi Shri award

A proud moment for Assam, two men from Assam has recently received the most prestigious award ‘Padmi Shri’.

The prestigious award was conferred by President of India Draupadi Murmu for their contribution to implementing various schemes of agriculture, and the other for exponent of Suknani Ojapali and Deodhani dancer.

The awardees are Sarbeswar Basumatary who contributed in various scheme of agriculture and Drona Bhuyan, a great exponent of dance.
