Mimi Majumder, President of Tripura BJP Women’s Wing, expressed confidence on Monday that women would be pivotal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, aiming to secure two seats for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP from the state. Speaking at the inaugural state committee meeting of the Pradesh Mahila Morcha at the State BJP party office in Agartala, Majumder highlighted the significance of women’s participation in the electoral process.”Today, we convened the first state committee meeting with 49 members, representing leaders from across the state.
This gathering is strategically aimed at preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and devising a comprehensive plan for our electoral success. We have witnessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering commitment to the nation’s progress, and we are deeply grateful for his guidance,” Majumder stated. She stated Prime Minister Modi’s efforts towards fostering genuine development and empowerment of women since assuming office.
“Under his leadership, various schemes have been introduced to uplift women, including the distribution of ration shops among women in Tripura for the first time in the last five years, among other initiatives. During this meeting, we will strategize on achieving a 10% increase in votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with the aim of reinstating him as the Prime Minister of India. We are confident that women will play a pivotal role, and we are diligently working to reach out to all sections of society with the government’s welfare schemes,” she added.
