Election Commission of India awarded two Officers from the State of Tripura for ‘Best Electoral Practice’ of the Year 2023

Two Distinguished Officers from the State of Tripura, named as Saju Vaheed (IAS) and Dr. Ramesh Chand Yadav (IPS), have been selected for the ‘Best Electoral Practice’ Awards of the year 2023 by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The Awards will be conferred to them on 25th of January 2024 in Capital city of India as a part of National Voter’s Day.

Saju Vaheed, who is an IAS Officer, currently serving as the District Magistrate of South District of Tripura, has been chosen under the General Award category for Accessible Elections in South District of Tripura. Meanwhile, Dr. Ramesh Chand Yadav, an IPS Officer, currently serving as the Superintendent of Police in Dhalai District of Tripura, who has been honored with the Award for Security Management.

Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha shared this news stating that, Heartiest Congratulations to Shri Saju Vaheed (IAS), DM and Collector, South Tripura and Dr. Ramesh Chand Yadav (IPS), SP Dhalai, for being awarded for the ‘Best Electoral Practice Award 2023’ under the categories of Accessible Elections and Security Management, respectively.
