Not only India, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the best captains in IPL. Under his leadership, Chennai Super Kings have won the IPL five times. Captain Dhoni is respected by his team mates and the opposing cricketers also respect him. Dhoni spoke about his experience of leading the IPL while maintaining good relations with everyone.

In an interview given to the broadcaster of IPL, Dhoni said that IPL has given him an opportunity to know and understand foreign players. Dhoni said, “The balance of the Chennai team in 2008 was great. There were a lot of all-rounders in the team. There was a lot of experience. There were players like Matthew Hayden, Mike Hussey, Muttiah Murlithrone, Makhaya Ntini, Jacob Oram in the team. It was great to have all those players in one dressing room.

But the real challenge was to know what they are like off the field.”If the performance on the field is good, it will happen. What kind of person is important in professional cricket? Dhoni said, “I think to lead a team, you need to understand everyone in the team well. Knowing someone personally, knowing their strengths and weaknesses makes it easier to take the team forward in the right direction.” In this context, Dhoni said,

“IPL has given many foreign cricketers an opportunity to get to know their opponents Better don’t like to talk too much about cricketers. But IPL has given an opportunity to know other cricketers. I got to know their thoughts about Blanket. I got to know their culture. All in all, this stage of the IPL is very good.”
