Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on Thursday reported a 22.14 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 1510.49 crore for the September 2024 quarter. It had reported a net profit of Rs 1236.67 crore in the July-September period of the previous financial year 2023-24, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company’s total revenue rose 6 per cent to Rs 5,976.3 crore during the second quarter as against Rs 5,635.7 crore in the same period a year ago.

HAL shares jumped over 2 per cent to Rs 4,148.85 per share on the NSE after the second quarter earnings were announced.
Hindustan Aeronautics has been in the news as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign has helped the company secure big orders in the defence and manufacturing sectors. Just before the general elections in May this year, Modi had highlighted the stellar performance of PSU stocks, citing the example of HAL. “Look at HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) – it has made a record profit of Rs 4,000 crore in the fourth quarter,” he said.
