Signify, the global leader in lighting, has announced a critical initiative to support over 33,000 flood-affected families in West Tripura by providing emergency LED lighting. In collaboration with the District Administration and Agartala Municipal Corporation, the project is part of Signify’s ‘Har Gaon Roshan’ CSR program and aims to enhance safety during power outages in flood-hit households. The initiative, supported by the Foundation for Integrated Support and Solution (FISS), is spearheaded by Mayor Sri Dipak Majumder and District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar.
Nikhil Gupta, Head of Marketing, Strategy, Government Affairs & CSR at Signify, emphasized, “This initiative aligns with our #BrighterLivesBetterWorld vision. By providing sustainable lighting, we aim to support the resilience of flood-affected communities in West Tripura.”

As businesses struggle with the economic fallout of the floods, providing emergency lighting solutions will facilitate a faster recovery, ensuring smoother operations and boosting consumer confidence.Scheduled to run from September to November 2024, the project will impact 6,600 households, restoring safety and normalcy through innovative LED lighting technology.
