Alia Bhatt, wearing ‘Najar Tika’, walked the Met Gala for the second time

Like every year, on the first Monday of May, the ‘Met Gala’ event was held at the ‘Metropolitan Museum of Art’ in New York. Top actors from Hollywood and Bollywood were present. This ceremony became sparkling with their brilliance. Here, stars make their own fashion statements to raise money for the organization, where it’s okay to break with tradition.

The theme of the bar at the Met Gala was ‘The Garden of Time’. The stars dressed themselves, keeping that in mind. This time Alia was dressed in a saree. Alia turned heads in a saree designed by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The pastel green net saree is completely handmade. White and pink florals work all over the saree. The long sleeves of the saree are draped across the carpet. Eye-catching embroidery in Anchal. Which is about 23 feet long. Alia took about 56 hours to make this saree. The Met Gala is one of the most famous fashion events in the world.

If you want to participate here, you have to spend lakhs to crores of rupees. The price of a single ticket to the Met Gala starts at 75 thousand dollars. And if you want to book the whole table, the cost is 3 lakh 50 thousand dollars. Which is close to Rs 63 lakh and Rs 2 crore 92 lakh, respectively, in Indian currency. All proceeds go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Fund. Tables are usually booked by the dressmaker or his agency. However, there is no information so far on whether any dressmaker or sponsor has given that money on behalf of Alia.
