Kolkata Knight Riders won easily against Delhi Capitals. Batting first, Delhi scored only 153 runs. Kolkata won the match by taking 7 wickets. With 21 balls remaining, Shreyas Iyer filled the match in his pocket.
Vaibhav Arora: He bowled over Delhi early with wickets. Delhi could not handle that shock. Prithvi Shaw was dismissed by Vaibhav. After that he bowled Shai Hope. That stopped Delhi’s run.
Varun Chakraborty: Varun is Kolkata’s most successful bowler. He took three wickets. Varun dismissed Rishabh Pant, Tristian Stubbs and Kumar Kushagra. He dismissed Delhi’s middle order. As a result, Delhi had no chance of scoring big runs. Varun conceded only 16 runs in four overs. That is, Varun does not only take wickets, but also stops runs.
Phil Salt: After keeping Delhi short KKR scored quick runs. Salt did that. He scored 68 runs off 33 balls. Salt hit five sixes and seven fours. Kolkata won the match easily. Without salt it would not have been possible.
