Physics Wallah co-founder Alakh Pandey has seen a remarkable increase in his net worth over the past year, earning him a spot on the prestigious Hurun India Rich List 2025. Alongside him, fellow co-founder Prateek Maheshwari also experienced a similar surge in wealth.
According to the Hurun India Rich List, both Pandey and Maheshwari’s net worth grew by 223% each, reaching ₹14,520 crore as their edtech company continues its rapid growth from Allahabad and Ajmer, respectively.
Alakh Pandey’s net worth of ₹14,510 crore now surpasses that of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, who stands at ₹12,490 crore. This achievement ranks Pandey among India’s fastest wealth creators in terms of percentage growth, alongside entrepreneurs from industries like industrial products and jewelry.
Born in 1991 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Pandey is one of India’s youngest and richest entrepreneurs. He pursued a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, but dropped out during his third year to focus on his entrepreneurial journey.
