The growth of the communication process and system has created a lot of investment potential, according to Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, who stated on Wednesday that greater focus should be focused on promotion to draw in investors from all of the northeastern states. The Chief Minister stated that in order to develop industries based on bamboo, pineapple, agar, and rubber in Tripura, investors must be drawn to the state. Saha was addressing during the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region’s (MDoNER) high-level task force’s preliminary meeting here, which aimed to encourage investment in the northeast.
The state government has prioritized ease of doing business, including land reforms, to provide facilities to investors, he said, adding that each department must work by adopting a plan. The chief minister stated that the state’s tourist industry has a lot of potential for investment and that promotion and growth should be prioritized in order to attract more capital. It is also important to draw investors’ attention to all of the state’s investment potential.
The Tripura government has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with industrialists and investors, but the implementation of these MoUs is crucial. A high-level task force was formed to promote investment in the northeastern region, including infrastructure assessment, establishing the region as a preferred investment destination for sectors like agriculture, tourism, logistics, IT, and renewable energy, and emphasizing the Private-Public-Partnership model. The task force convened by Tripura Chief Minister J.K. Sinha.
