Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekharan is invited to visit the state by Tripura CM

Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekharan was asked by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday to come to the state and look at potential growth and cooperation opportunities. At the ongoing Advantage Assam 2.0 summit in Guwahati, CM Saha had a meeting with Chandrasekharan. “Happy to meet Tata Sons Chairman Shri Natarajan Chandrasekaran Ji at AssamAdvantage 2. We are honored to extend an invitation to him to come to Tripura and look into potential growth and cooperation opportunities. Looking forward to strengthening ties” the chief minister posted on Facebook.

The Tripura government and Tata Group company Tata Technologies have previously inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the upgrade of up to 19 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) at a cost of Rs. 686 crore. Additionally, the Tata Group and the state government are negotiating the construction of a heritage hotel in Agartala. At the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit in Guwahati, CM Saha also met Mio Oka, the country director of the Asian Development Bank.

“Happy to meet Smt. Mio Oka, the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Country Director for India, at AssamAdvantage2. ADB consistently provides Tripura with tremendous assistance. I’m sure that our partnership will promote growth and development in Tripura because of her extensive experience and knowledge. Looking forward to a successful collaboration,” he wrote in a different post. Over the next three to four years, Anil Agarwal, chairman of the mining giant Vedanta Group, has declared that the company will invest Rs 50,000 crore in the oil and gas industries in Assam and Tripura.
