Tripura CM requests centre for Vande Bharat Train between Guwahati and Agartala

In the most recent development, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was requested by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha to establish a Vande Bharat train between Guwahati, Assam, and the state capital Agartala. Saha and Vaishnaw recently met in New Delhi, where they talked about a number of railway development projects in the northeastern state.

“I met Ashwini Vaishnaw ji, the Union Minister of Railways and IT, at Rail Bhawan in New Delhi. We discussed a number of development-related topics during the meeting, including the operation of the #VandeBharat train, the local train between Dharmanagar and Sabroom, the inter-city train between Agartala and Guwahati, the construction of a new track between Jirania and Bodjungnagar and Dharmanagar and Kailashar, and the Kishan Rail between Agartala and Guwahati,” the chief minister wrote on Facebook.

He has previously visited with Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss issues pertaining to the advancement and development of Tripura. In the meantime, Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh promised to establish a state-of-the-art weather radar in Tripura within a year, according to Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha.
