Authorities from the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the Tripura Police stated they had confiscated pirated NCERT books that were being sold to students in Agartala bookshops. Over the course of the last two days, a group of NCERT officers, under the direction of Amitabha Kumar, the organization’s chief business manager, raided many outlets in Agartala and confiscated numerous fake textbooks.

According to Kumar, a team of NCERT officers from the Delhi and Guwahati regional offices raided multiple outlets in Agartala and discovered that pupils were being illegally supplied pirated textbooks. He said that the raids were carried out in response to guardians’ complaints to the NCERT about the sale of fake books in Agartala. “We have surveyed the market and with police assistance, raided the shops identified in the complaints,” Kumar informed the press.
