The 16th Finance Commission convenes important meetings with legislators and officials

Beginning at 9:30 AM on Thursday, January 30, the 16th Finance Commission, which had arrived in Tripura on Wednesday, January 29 for a three-day visit, began its formal engagements with a series of meetings. Under the direction of its chairman, the commission’s members spoke with key government officials, including Dr. Manik Saha, the chief minister of Tripura, and several cabinet ministers. According to the official schedule, the Finance Commission team will meet with the state cabinet ministers at the Secretariat on January 30 at 9:25 AM. The State Guest House will host a news conference at 12 PM.

The team has a number of meetings scheduled for the afternoon, starting at 1:30 PM with officials from Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Public officials. At 2:00 PM, they will be joined by members from Urban Local Bodies (ULBs). Representatives from the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) will meet at 2:40 PM, and at 3:15 PM, political parties will gather. At 4:20 PM, the State Guest House will host a meeting with leaders from Trade, Commerce, and Industry to wrap up the day. The crew will go to Narkel Kunjam at 11:00 AM on January 31st after visiting the Tripura Sundari Temple at 9:00 AM. On February 1st, they will tour the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary at 9:00 AM, followed by a visit to Purbasha at 10:30 AM. The team is scheduled to depart the state at 1:30 PM.
