Tripura Governor emphasises ‘citizen engagement’

Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, the governor of Tripura, attended a major event at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala that addressed consumer protection, road safety, and the threat of drug usage. He emphasized the value of civic engagement and group responsibility. In his remarks, the governor emphasized the need of protecting local farmers, producers, and artisans who are essential to Tripura’s economy, as well as consumer rights.

He called on people to be watchful, support moral companies, and report unfair tactics in order to guarantee an open and responsible economy, citing the Consumer Protection Act of 2019. In response to the growing public concern over road safety, the governor also urged people to wear helmets, follow speed limits, refrain from driving when distracted, and follow traffic laws. Every traffic accident is a preventable tragedy, he said, and he urged everyone to work together to foster a culture of safety and respect for one another.

The Governor expressed alarm about the growing problem of drug usage and emphasized how terrible it is for young people, families, and society as a whole. He reiterated the government’s resolve to fight drug usage by enforcing the law strictly, implementing rehabilitation programs, and raising public awareness. In an initiative to create a state that is safe, moral, and successful, the governor of Tripura underlined the significance of drug misuse, traffic safety, and consumer protection. He commended the commitment of residents, education, NGOs, and law enforcement in tackling these issues.
