KCP cadres are arrested and firearms are recovered by Manipur police in separate operations

Several weapons were recovered as a result of search and area domination operations carried out by security forces in Manipur’s hill and valley regions. The Thoubal District’s Fungei Ching Ngamukhong neighborhood served as the site of the operation. Numerous firearms, including an SLR, SMG Carbine, 12 Bore Double Barrel Gun, 9 mm and.32 mm pistols, several high-explosive grenades, two detonators, 39 rounds of live ammunition, a Baofeng walkie-talkie, and five arming rings, were found during the search.

Four members of the KCP (PWG) militant organization were taken into custody by Manipur Police earlier on December 2 in Kakching Lamkhai, Kakching District. Sandham Premkumar Singh (45), Saikhom Sidan Singh (33), Nongmaithem Haridash Singh (56), and Khundogbam Tomba Singh (40), the militants who were detained, were engaged in extortion and unlawful possession of firearms. A 7.26×25 mm M20 Pistol with magazine, three live rounds, five cell phones, one four-wheeler vehicle, demand letters, and 80 blank tax receipts belonging to the KCP (PWG) organization were among the other items of evidence that the authorities found after their detention.
