Three Bangladeshi nationals were detained in two days while attempting to enter Indian territory by negotiating the boundary fence, the BSF said. One tout apparently involved in the infiltration was also apprehended in the Kalamchaura region of Gurangola village. The BSF and police conducted a coordinated operation following the revelations made by captured Bangladeshi nationals. According to the BSF, two Bangladeshi nationals from Dhaka were apprehended near the Rahimpur border outpost in the Kalamchaura police station area of Sipahijala district on Wednesday.
Another was held on Thursday near the Mohanpur in the Sidhai police station area of West Tripura District. The nabbed Bangladeshi national hails from Chapainawabganj district in Bangladesh. The BSF has increased monitoring along Tripura’s border and launched surveillance on touts’ operations in order to disrupt the backbone of the tout module operating across the border, according to the statement.
