A wave of hope has been ignited in the Northeast with the launch of 30 Entrepreneurship Development Centres (EDCs) and four Incubation Centres at the Northeast Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Conclave 2024. Led by Minister Jayant Chaudhary, this initiative aims to empower the region’s youth by fostering 900 startups and creating a sustainable future through skill development and entrepreneurship.

The event, held at IIM Shillong, brought together regional leaders and experts to explore ways of aligning traditional craftsmanship, like bamboo and woodwork, with modern market demands. Minister Chaudhary passionately spoke about the potential of the Northeast, emphasizing the need for regional cooperation under the “Act First for Northeast” policy to drive growth and economic progress.

For the Agartala, this initiative holds the promise of transformation. With support for local artisans and new businesses, Agartala stands to benefit from entrepreneurship programs that offer mentorship, funding, and access to national markets. This marks a step forward in turning dreams into reality for the city’s young innovators.
