Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, accusing him of making baseless and insulting statements against Hindus during a recent session. Speaking at a press conference today, Bhattacharya condemned Gandhi’s remarks as inaccurate and inappropriate, especially during a discussion on the President of India’s speech.

“He has made false and fabricated claims that not only insult Hindus but also portray them negatively. The BJP strongly condemns his statement and protests against it. We urge senior Congress leaders to ensure that Rahul Gandhi maintains the dignity of Parliament,” Bhattacharya stated firmly.

Highlighting Gandhi’s tenure without a constitutional post since 2004, Bhattacharya emphasized that his current role as Leader of Opposition demands more responsible behavior and speech. He criticized Gandhi’s alleged habit of insulting Hindus, citing historical instances such as former Home Minister P. Chidambaram’s controversial remarks in 2010.

“Insulting Hindus has been an old habit of the Congress party. We have seen enough proof of this over time. Congress has misled the nation with false statements about our security forces in the past,” Bhattacharya added, calling for an apology from Rahul Gandhi in Parliament.
