In a dramatic turn of events, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, the former Chairman of Tipra Motha and scion of Tripura’s royal family, swiftly departed for Delhi following a summons from the Central government during his ongoing hunger strike for a constitutional resolution. The scene unfolded on Wednesday at Hatai Kotor, formerly known as Baramura Hills, where Pradyot was staging his indefinite protest.
During his impassioned speech, Leader of the Opposition and MLA of Tipra Motha, Animesh Debbarma, handed over a phone call to Pradyot amidst the fervor of the crowd. Following the conversation, Pradyot announced, “I must leave for Delhi. The Central government has summoned me. This is not a time for celebration. We must tread cautiously. I will not compromise, but I will engage in dialogue. Youth Tipra Federation, preserve this platform. If there’s positive news, I’ll address you all from here.”
Determined to press his demands, Pradyot declared his intention to travel to Delhi on an empty stomach, vowing not to consume food until he receives favorable news. “I seek the support of my indigenous people. A constitutional solution is within reach. I am grateful for Delhi’s acknowledgment of our concerns. I will return with results,” asserted Pradyot.
