After a notable hiatus from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) last year, Pijush Kanti Biswas, a prominent figure in Tripura’s political landscape, has made a triumphant return to the Congress. Biswas, once at the helm of the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee, reaffirmed his allegiance to the Congress during a ceremonious event at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters.

At this gathering, he received a warm welcome from Tripura Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha, former minister and MLA Sudip Roy Barman, and Congress’ Tripura in-charge, Girish Chodankar. Exuding happiness, Biswas expressed his sentiments at a press conference, declaring, “Today marks a moment of immense joy for me as I rejoin the Congress family.”

In his address, Biswas also highlighted the significance of the northeast region, lamenting its alleged neglect by the central government. He drew attention to Rahul Gandhi’s recent Nyay Yatra, emphasizing the Congress’ commitment to addressing the concerns of the northeast states.
