BJP revamps Tripura unit, 16-member state core committee formed ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

With an eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Central BJP, under the authorization of state’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, has established a robust 16-member State Core Committee for Tripura BJP. In a missive addressed to BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh conveyed, “National President Jagat Prakash Nadda ji has approved the formation of the State Core Committee of Tripura BJP; the roster is enclosed.”

Comprising 13 members, the core committee was augmented by the inclusion of three special invitees, as per the list provided.The core committee boasts prominent figures including Rajib Bhattacharya, BJP state president, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Jishnu Dev Varma, Former Deputy Chief Minister, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, MP Rebati Tripura, and others.

Additionally, special invitees include Northeast Coordinator and BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra, National Secretary and Northeast Joint Coordinator Rituraj Sinha, and State Prabhari Dr. Mahesh Sharma. Sources within the party informed India Today NE that the restructuring occurred during the recent visit of Chief Minister Dr. Saha and State President Rajib Bhattacharya.
