Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav, a four-day cultural extravaganza celebrating the richness of Northeast India, will be held in New Delhi from February 8th to 11th, 2024. The event, organized by the Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region and Northeastern Handicrafts & Handlooms Development Corporation Limited (NEHHDC), will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan premises.

The initiative aims to celebrate the diversity of India through seven biannual chapters, each focusing on a different geographical region of India. The first chapter will honor the Ashtalaxmi, the eight culturally rich states of the North-Eastern Region. The event will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India in the presence of the Hon’ble Minister of DoNER, Culture and Tourism on February 8th at 11.15 AM.

The Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav, a cultural mosaic, showcases Northeast India’s diverse arts, crafts, and cultures. The festival will use Rashtrapati Bhavan as a platform for economic opportunities and promote handicrafts, handlooms, and agro products. The event will feature 320+ weavers, artisans, farmers, food stalls, a Kids Activity Zone, a Youth Engagement Zone, stalls for entrepreneurs, and 350+ artists showcasing traditional dances.
