Beam Suntory announces the launch of the Oaksmith® Crafter’s Edition

Beam Suntory has launched the Oaksmith® Crafter’s Edition, a new addition to its iconic portfolio. The Crafter’s Edition, the first innovation by any brand in the IMFL category, aims to welcome a broader audience while celebrating the finest Japanese craftsmanship and emphasizing its premium Indian whisky character. Created by Shinji Fukuyo, Chief Blender of Suntory, the founding house of Japanese Whiskies, the whisky blends high-quality Scotch Malt whiskies and smooth American Bourbons to create a unique recipe inspired by the Indian palate.

Crafted with the true essence of Japanese craftsmanship, the Crafter’s Edition is a personal favorite of Suntory’s Chief Blender. Rishi Walli, Senior Director of IMFL brands, expressed delight at the success of Oaksmith® in the Indian market, citing the premiumisation and appreciation for finely crafted spirits.

The launch of the Oaksmith® Crafter’s Edition whisky in Tripura is key to Beam Suntory’s growth strategy and signifies the importance of India to the global spirits company. As Oaksmith® continues to grow and captivate consumers, it remains committed to offering a quality experience that blends the best of Japanese craftsmanship with the essence of India. The whisky will be priced at INR 800 for a 750ML bottle in Tripura.
